Brass Full Mortise Hinge, 4" x 4" x .130" with Square Corners and 5 Knuckles

Baldwin full mortise hinges are classified as standard weight for installation on doors up to 1.75" in thickness. Use three hinges on doors up to and including 7.5 feet and one additional hinge for each additional 2.5 feet. All hinges have a slight offset leaf which provides clearance of .062" when leaves are closed and parallel.

Prepare for some work These are beautiful, well made hinges. But - they are about 1/16 thicker than others and have square corners instead of rounded corners so if you are replacing older hinges you'll have to deepen the mortise and square off the corners. It's some work, but it's worth it. October 9, 2010
