Nice looks, good quality but could use better bulb This doorbell is a nice addition to any home. The installation is straighforward and is simple enough. My only criticism is that these Baldwin doorbells, like others, use a small low-watt bulb. It looks great and is very functional (especially when coming up to a dark house at night) but the bulb will burn out in 3 to 4 years and the heat from the bulb will cause the plastic in the bell to become brittle. The end effect is that you have to find a replacement bulb and in the process the retaining tabs on the plastic socket are more than likely to break in the process. Baldwin should really use a low-heat LED that will last essentially forever. November 6, 2008
Nice but difficult over stucco This is a nice looking doorbell, however it was extremely difficult to get it to sit correctly over stucco. May 18, 2008
