looks good i was suprised at how much of the set was plastic but this was only in non-operable parts of the mechanism. operable parts and everything you see is metal. July 14, 2008

Elegant Design I chose the Omnia 12PA (Passage) and 12PR (Private) style door handles to replace all the existing handles in my home during a renovation project. The old handles were a gold finish in standard outdated styles that are typical of builder materials that came with the home. I needed a sleek modern and simple design in a silver tone. These Stainless Steel handles are beautiful, elegant, and exactly what I was looking for. They look stunning with the new renovation decor, and since they are not the standard handles you would find in any local store, I get many compliments. However, the only cons to these handles is that installation isn't necessarily intuitive if you're not familiar with this sort of thing and are attempting to do-it-yourself. The strike plate wasn't the same shape as my existing strike plate so I also purchased silver strike plates in the correct shape and size. I had to have my contractor help me with the installation for the remaining parts and it would be nice if Omnia included the correct Allen Wrench needed for set screw pieces necessary to tighten the handles onto the spindle. Once I got past the installation problems, the rest was easy -- I got to sit back and enjoy their striking style and simplicity. January 15, 2008
