How does this attach to the door?

A. To install the Omnia 9588/60, cut out a rectangular hole in the door measuring 2-3/8" L x 1-7/8" W x 3/8" Deep. The pull will be pressed into the hole.

Does it stop the door from going completely into the pocket or does it require an end pull, too?

If the door is open completely in the pocket, don't I need an edge pull as well so I can pull it out of the pocket to close it?

I am looking for a flush pull to use on a hinged ceiling-mounted attic access door. Does the ring on your models automatically retract so that it would not drop down when not in use?
