good product but
I've used schlage brand for years & automatically looked for them when I replaced all the kobs and locks on my "new" old house. Most of the handles and locks work great. A few deadbolts are a little rough to open with the key but work properly. The interior handle sets seem to need to be pushed down overly far in order to open. But, overall I am still satisfied with the product.

Problem with 2 3/8" door
I bought one of these from Handlesets.com and the installation on my 2 3/8"-thick door was going fairly smoothly until I tried to add the cylinder on the interior and bolt it all together. The tailpieces on each of the two cylinders bump into the opposing cylinder when door side surfaces of the two cylinders are about 2 3/4" apart. Without adding a board to the inside of my door, there was no way to install the lock without leaving the cylinders hanging about 1/4" out from the door.
I called Schlage customer service and was told they'd had some reports of this problem and that the only solution they had was to cut a bit off of each tailpiece. They were apologetic and helpful. I was reluctant to cut up my new lock because I was worried that the bolts might be too long also and prevent the lock from attaching snugly to the door. The representative I was talking to went to the warehouse floor, got a lock and tried it in his office. He wasn't quite sure if it would fit either, so he told me to try it and that he'd send me another lock free in case it didn't work.
Two stars for the manufacturing error in the product, five stars for the customer support. I can't recommend the lock until they correct the manufacturing error and get rid of the bad stock, but I can recommend the company.
I don't think this is a problem they have always had with the B62 or there would be other bad reviews out there. I think they just manufactured a bad batch and need to correct the guys at the factory.
Oh, if you have a choice, install this in a 1 1/'2" hole, not a 2 1/8" hole. The lock barely covers a 2 1/8" hole and if your hole for the bolt and fo rthe lock are not perfectly aligned, like if you use a cheap, plastic lockset jig from Irwin, you may have a gap showing around the edge of your lock. I don't know why they don't make these things a smidge bigger to cover imperfectly cut holes. If you're replacing a lock that was installed by pros using a good jig of with great workmanship, this won't be an issue, but I was installing a deadbolt on a door that didn't previously have one.

Thrilled!
Product was keyed to match existing locks. Installation took minimal amount of time. Price was lower than hardware store and INCLUDED customized keying. Highly recommend company & product!

much improved
The Schlage B62 (Deadbolt): Keyed Entry Double Cylinder is slightly smaller than the same model from 10 years ago and leaves a small circle exposed around the cylinder. In spite of this aggravation, the new model works much smoother and has a more solid feel to it, and the bolt is longer. The finish is excellent as before, I would have kept the old locks but keys were stolen.

Great Quality Locks
Ordered three for our home and two for our daughter. Ours were to replace existing locks. Installation was very easy but be sure to not overtighten the long screws they mangle easily. One, at daughter's, was a "new" install. We bought a new 2 1/8" hole saw and 1" drill bit and found the the hole was a bit small and the lock wouldn't seat properly. Had to file it larger on the "in" side . The 1" hole seemed too big. Wish we would have started smaller. We also had to buy a chisel set...it's a must have to make a clean cutout for the insets. The locks are great but the "new" installation took longer than anticipated. Make sure to have the proper tools before starting this project! The price is outstanding compared to the home improvement stores. We bought six locks total and had them all keyed alike with a key code, for free, and they all work perfect! Handlesets.com is great!

Solid Lock
Schlage makes great locks, that's already known. The B62 follows in that tradition. The bolt turns smooth like butter. It has a reinforcement plate to give it Grade 1 security. We've been happy with it. I did manage to strip one of the screws, but a call to Schlage and they replaced it free of charge (though I'm still waiting for it to arrive). My tip would be to hand tighten the screws that hold the lock together, as the screws for the double cylinder bolt is designed to strip easily (security feature?).
